| Timber inventory data is used to estimate volumes for various forest products - sawlogs and pulpwood. These volumes are applied to current market prices and summarized as the total value for timber products in the forest. This snapshot summary of the timber value is useful when comparing results from inventories taken periodically (3-5 years) in order to track the value of your forestland investment and to plan the timing of timber sales. | |||||||||||||||||
